At last a couple of sunny days although still wet through the night. The land has suffered , even for our quick draining chalky land the amount of wet has been too much but it will soon recover come spring.....
Late summer born calves were weaned yesterday, they are inside for a month now and halter training will commence. Calving is due to start in April and the cows and heifers are looking very pregnant. Now we just hope for a good spring so that land can recover and the cattle get a bit of sun on their backs for a change.
